I began my broadcasting career while still a student, doing "overseas" transmissions for the SABC's External Services. Due to time-zone differences this meant I could do a full shift behind the microphone and still be in time for lectures at 8-30 am!
Within a few years I was in demand as a radio journalist and news anchor, with stints at Channel Africa, SAfm, Talk Radio 702 in Johannesburg and 567CapeTalk, where I am currently on the morning drive show. I also do station imaging for national television network eTV.
My experience in radio drama over the years has allowed me to master a number of accents and equipped me with an ability to create unique characters at the drop of a hi-hat..
The players alongside will allow you to stream a selection of clips chosen for their diverse styles. (You may also download the mp3 by clicking on the title-bar).
In addition to this selection, you can access my archive of accent and dialect work, radio spots and television commercials, documentary narration and corporate and e-learning material.
